Updated Flood Hazard Atlas for Assam State
Shri Pallab Lochan Das, Hon’ble Minister of State for Revenue & Disaster Management, Government of Assam released the updated ‘Flood Hazard Atlas for Assam State’, on 6-Sep-2016 at Guwahati. Ms T Y Das, Additional Chief Secretary, Shri Dipak Kumar Sarma, CEO, Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) and Ms Nandita Hazarika, Joint Secretary & SPO DRR programme, Govt of Assam are also present in this function. AMRUT 500 Cities Creation of Geospatial database for Formulation of GIS Based Master Plan
Government of India has launched Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) in 2015 with the objective to (i) ensure that every household has access to a tap with assured supply of water and a sewerage connection; (ii) developing greenery and well maintained open spaces; (iii) reduce pollution by switching to public transport for non-motorised transport.
