In Phase-I, 152 towns representing all States/UTs in the country have been selected. The project has been executed by Town & Country Planning Organization (TCPO), Survey of India (SOI) and National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC/ISRO). It has been carried out by NRSC in association with 25 Partner Institutions (PIs) such as State Remote Sensing Application Centres, and other premier institutes like CEPT, BIT.Generation of multiscale (10K, 2K, 1K) hierarchical urban geospatial database on thematic data for various levels of Urban Planning, Infrastructure Development and u-Governance using Satellite, Aerial and GPR techniques.
